We are no longer accept applications for Minecraft staff.
Lysilus Community staff are in charge of every aspect of server-side administration. Each chosen staff member fulfills their role within their respective servers, as well as maintaining a presence as a player.
Members of the staff do not receive "elevated" privileges from other players. Those in staff are essentially this: players with power. They do not advance due to their heightened position, in any way, shape, or form, that another player could not.
Along with this, punishment for rule-breaking among staff members is even more severe than among players. Punishments usually range from being stripped completely from administrator privileges and being blacklisted, to being banned for advanced periods of time, without chance for appeal.

Joining staff is not a congeniality contest. Your reputation only matters as far as it effects your ability to staff the server. Your own rivalries, in or out of character, with other players, should not affect your decisions as an administrator. Evidence of this will be used against you in any complaints made about you.
Along with this, joining staff is not a democracy. No matter how much you have the support of the players, what really matters is the applicant reviewer's final decision. If he decides not to accept you, that is final. Applicant reviewers can NOT be pressured into deciding one way or another. This is grounds for punishment.
Furthermore, pestering an applicant reviewer to look at your application will further delay the reviewing process. Furthermore, excess pestering is grounds for immediate denial.
