1. Treat other members with respect - do not harass or threaten other members or stop staff from doing their job. Genuine constructive criticism is not harassment.
2. Do not spout your political or religious views without request. Keep political and religious discussions rational and reasonable. Keep in mind that others may not share your views - This is fine, and you may well learn different ways of thinking by talking to others.
3. Do not use third party software (hacks, mods) in any of our games that is not approved by lysilus staff.
4. Do not link to or promote illegal activities via the lysilus community.
5. Do not advertise anything via the lysilus community without approval from community staff.
6. Do not impersonate staff members or pretend to be a staff member when you are not one.
7. Do not shitpost. Shitposts are off-topic or of dubious quality. Punishments vary.
8. Maintain correct grammar (to the best of your ability) during all roleplaying activities. English is the preferred language of the lysilus community, and you are expected to know it.
9. Staff members are volunteer workers, not royalty - staff members who demand respect or subservience simply because of their title will be kicked from their position.
10. Keep NSFW content off our forums - it is against the proboards TOS and could get our forums shut down.
11. Keep your obnoxious fandom to yourself - the rest of lysilus does not need to know that you are a furry, brony or homestuck fan.
12. Lysilus is an inclusive - not exclusive - roleplaying community. Be accommodating to new members and teach them the ropes - you were new once.
13. Intentionally false reports will yield punishment equal to the punishment due the person you are reporting. You have been warned.
14. If a staff member asks a user to stop or change topics, they must do as the staff member asks. This is to defuse heated arguments.
15. A member holds the right to ask staff the reason for his punishment, and can trust that staff will answer truthfully. Asking after the question has been answered violates rule 1.
16. Our servers and subforums may have their own rules. These rules work in tandem with this list of rules, and are still official.
17. If you think you are successfully exploiting a loophole in the rules, you are wrong. If there are loopholes, you will be punished for exploiting them.
